The first episode sets the stage for a young woman who is witnessed jumping from a bridge seemingly to her death. She wakes in the ER to find she is alive and her sight has returned. Her parents haven’t seen her in 7 years and the plot begins. Where was she? What happened to her? It is slow because the dialogue is very important so if you don’t like “details” skip it. The details are in fact “to me” amazing! Very intelligent series. The flashbacks late in episode one and early in two pulled me in and I was captivated by the little girl who plays our lead during her youth. By Episode 4 it becomes another series altogether as Prairie gains the uncharacteristic trust of 5 lost souls to help her cause by meeting at an abandoned residential community to plan the event. Genius writing. Big props to Brad Pitt for bringing this very smart series to Netflix. If you understand that everything is energy and vibrations and you like the human condition, you will love it. If you are not a fan of quantum entanglement you may be lost.
Profanity and sex scenes, not for the young ones.
